Use Of Proceeds
Working through registered charity “Yael’s Indaba Charitable Initiative Society”, Fuck Cancer is on a mission. We will create and deploy educational programs that activate Gen Y to take responsibility for their parents’ health and teach them to become medical consumers through the following calls to action: knowing their cancer risk profile, recognizing the earliest warning signs, and navigating and taking ownership of their own health and bodies.
We’re always shocked by the bumbling fools who drink and drive in films, but that was the status quo to our parents. You know how ridiculous it is for someone to get behind the wheel after drinking these days, especially with a bus, taxi or friendly piggyback available at every corner. Because of Fuck Cancer, this is exactly the way our generation will view late stage cancer diagnosis in the future: unnecessary and avoidable (like inviting your ex to your wedding…).
It’s no secret that the best way to learn something is to teach it. It’s no accident that we’re targeting Gen Y, because they are the generation that has time to internalize Fuck Cancer’s message and make a change. By the time they’re in the highest risk demographic, they’ll be looking for cancer instead of just finding it.
