Helping you process
We offer virtual support groups to help our community when they’re going through it. Whether you have cancer or you’re a caregiver, we have a support network for you.
LGBTQIA+ Patient Support Group
Available to anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and is currently in or post cancer treatment. This group meets virtually on the first Tuesday of every month from 8:00 – 9:30 pm ET.

We offer the LGBTQIA+ Cancer Support Group because:
- People who identify as LGBT face distinct challenges when it comes to cancer and many LGBT survivors do not feel welcome or understood in mainstream support groups.
- LGBT-specific support groups are the top request made by LGBT cancer survivors, but there is a shortage of these groups in the U.S.
The LGBTQIA+ Cancer Support Group is facilitated by Joshua Bechdel, MS, LPC.
Caregiver Support Group

Community Support Groups
We offer community support groups on Facebook for patients and caregivers to connect with other people going through similar experiences. Group members are encouraged to talk about what they’re going through, share their insights, and ask or answer questions from other community members.

Program Impact
Since 2021, our support groups have helped people with cancer and their caregivers find a community to share their experiences in a safe and supportive space.
