This isn’t just another pretty filter.
Let’s play a game that could actually save your life. We teamed up with our friends at the Melanoma Research Foundation to create an Instagram and TikTok filter to test your sun safety knowledge and make sure you know how to make smart sun decisions. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States and approximately 90% of nonmelanoma skin cancers are caused by sun exposure. But if cancer isn’t scary enough, 90% of skin damage is also caused by the sun.
It can be easy to forget the basics like wearing sunscreen every day and reapplying every 2 hours. But, some of the scores we’ve seen so far from this filter make us think the basics might not be so obvious. So try it out and see if you know sun safety better than everyone else!
Every time you don’t protect yourself in the sun, a dolphin cries. Trust us, use the filter.

how to protect your skin?
Skin cancer is the most preventable cancer, but that means you have to put the work in now to protect yourself later.
Wear Sunscreen
Consistency is key. Pick the sunscreen that you’re most likely to use. Slather it on and always reapply.
Cover Up
You can still strut yourself even while you’re protecting yourself from the sun’s rays. Try rocking a wide brim hat, long sleeve shirts, and sunglasses.
Seek Shade
Just this once, being shady is a good thing. Find shade under a tree, umbrella, or other shelter when it’s sunny outside.
